What content warnings does Sunspot have?

Sunspot contains the following elements which may appear without content warnings:

• Dysphoria
• Gore (violent & medical)
• Body horror
• Kidnapping
• Explicit sexual content

Other elements will appear in the content warning section at the top of each chapter.

Can I skip chapters with CWs I can’t handle?

Sort of. The general content warnings listed above appear too frequently in the story to easily remove. We’re working on adding trigger-free summaries of chapters that contain additional content warnings.

I think a chapter should have a CW that isn’t listed.

Leave a comment on the chapter or ping myself or a beta reader in the Discord! We’ll do our best to update it.

When does Sunspot update?

Sunspot updates once a week on Fridays at noon GMT. There are three weeks of chapters, then one week of break.

What about Scribblehub and RoyalRoad?

The other sites are synced with this one. They release the same chapter at the same time. Read on whichever site you like, though this is the only place where you can seamlessly continue from public to Patreon chapters without having to change platforms.

Will Sunspot ever stub/go on Kindle Unlimited or another paywalled platform?

No. I am committed to keeping the main story of Sunspot free to read and easy to access.

How does early access work?

The latest advance access chapter goes live for Patrons at the same time public chapters do. If you’re a patron, you can read on patreon.com/yootie directly or here on the website. Advance chapters are visible on the Table of Contents and look like this; that page updates in real-time, so if you can see a chapter on there, it’s available. The site’s “latest chapter” widget in the header will also show you the latest advance access chapter instead of the public one if you’re logged in.

What about side stories?

Side stories are available for all members, even free members. They are non-canon or dubiously canon. They may feature POVs other than Ezzen’s, depict entirely AU events, and spoil major main-story reveals up to the most recent Patreon chapter at the time they were released. Will these benefits change?

Is this a transgender story?

Yes.

Is this a harem story?

No.

Will Ezzen be force-femmed?

This is the intent! You’re not expected to understand everything yet, and if a term isn’t explained, assume you don’t need to know what it means yet. However, feel free to reference the glossary if you’re unsure about terms, or the dramatis personae for character names and descriptions.

Are there official designs for glyphs?

There are no official designs. The ones depicted on the logo are similar to glyph diagrams, but not actual glyphs. So picture them however you like!
